Location: United States – Remote Engagement: Freelance / Independent Contractor Schedule: Flexible Estimated Project Time: Approximately 10 hours Compensation: $700 USD upon successful completion and acceptance of the recordings About the Project DataForce by TransPerfect is looking for fluent American Sign Language (ASL) and Black American Sign Language (BASL) users in the United States to participate in a paid remote language research project. Participants will complete a series of approximately 1,000 short video recording tasks from home using ASL or BASL. The recordings are completed independently following instructions and prompts provided through the project application. The project is expected to require approximately 10 hours in total, and participants can complete the tasks remotely according to the project guidelines and timeline. What You'll Do Complete a series of short ASL or BASL video recording tasks. Follow the provided recording prompts and project instructions. Record yourself signing naturally and clearly. Review recordings for completeness before submission. Follow the project's quality and recording requirements. Complete any necessary corrections if a submitted recording does not meet the project requirements. Requirements Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) or Black American Sign Language (BASL). Currently residing in the United States. Comfortable recording yourself on video. Able to understand written English instructions. Access to a suitable environment for completing video recordings.
