ABC to mark Deaf People Week with BLUEY Auslan marathon

The Lego Masters Australia host and Bluey star will narrate Bluey’s Auslan Sign and Seek, launching on ABC Kids during National Week of Deaf People 2026 in collaboration with Deaf Connect. The interactive experience will form part of a Bluey marathon across Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October, with back-to-back episodes airing from 7.30am to 7.30pm. Across the weekend, families can play along with tutorials teaching Auslan signs for words and moments from episodes including Keepy Uppy, Daddy Robot and Turtleboy. Special versions of the iconic Bluey theme song will also feature signs, with viewers encouraged to spot the words in the episode that follows. The ABC has also announced that it will make every episode of Bluey available with Auslan translation from 3 October, including Turtleboy, which features Dougie, a deaf puppy who uses Auslan to communicate with his mum. Bluey and a collection of other Auslan-accessible ABC Kids programs will also be available to stream on ABC iview. Bluey’s Auslan Sign and Seek was created by Leo Australia, with support from ABC Creative and Ludo Studio, in collaboration with Deaf Connect.
