Carolyn Brick, '60, & G-'63, was one of Gallaudet's first-ever deaf graduate students. However, she began her graduate school journey at a hearing college, where no one signed, and she had to rely on copying the notes of her classmates. When Gallaudet finally opened its graduate program to deaf students in 1962, Carolyn got the accessibility she needed to thrive.
