400 Deaf and hard of hearing young people gather at Seoul's '2026 Cheongeum Spark' festival
About 400 Deaf and hard of hearing young people and local residents took part in '2026 Cheongeum Spark,' a festival planned and run by Deaf youth, on October 24 at the Irwon Eco Park Center in Gangnam, Seoul. Hosted by the Cheongeum Welfare Center for Deaf people, the third annual event featured hands-on booths run by 10 Deaf self-help groups including K-DEAF Chess and the Deaf women's futsal team Deaf Spirit FC, talks, performances and a national Deaf barista competition.
