The first: Texas Department of Public Safety announced that deaf and hard of hearing residents of Texas can add a “Deaf/Hard of Hearing” label placed on the front of their Texas driver’s license or ID card. This is optional, it’s up to the DHH person. To have this label, they will have to provide a signed form by a healthcare provider to an in-person appointment at a DPS office.
