Austria honors Deaf leaders Helene Jarmer and Lukas Huber with state awards

Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen awarded state honors at the Vienna Hofburg on Oct. 27 to Helene Jarmer, president of the Austrian Deaf Association (OeGLB), and Lukas Huber, its secretary general, for decades of work on Deaf rights, Austrian Sign Language and equal participation.
