Linwood Johnson nearly perfect as Roanoke Football breezes to 52-0 win at Gallaudet

WASHINGTON, DC (WFXR) — Sophomore quarterback Linwood Johnson was nearly perfect statistically Saturday as the Roanoke College football team breezed to a 52-0 win at Gallaudet University Saturday in non-conference play. Johnson only saw action in the first half, but connected on 19-of-20 passes for 275 yards and four touchdowns and ran in another score. His 95 percent completion percentage is third-best in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) history with at least 15 pass attempts.   The Roanoke defense recorded a shutout, holding the Bison to -5 rushing yards on 25 carries, and have allowed just seven points in three games thus far. The Maroons (3-0) open ODAC play next Saturday at Guilford College at 1 p.m.
