Appeals court weighs lawsuit over White House sign language access

A three-judge D.C. Circuit panel heard the government's appeal in NAD v. Trump on Oct. 6. The Justice Department argued deaf plaintiffs have no right to sue under Section 504 to force live ASL interpretation at White House briefings; the NAD defended a 2025 order requiring it. No ruling yet.
