Imagine if everyone who ever fought for change had decided it was too exhausting and simply stopped. We wouldn’t have bilingual ASL-English education for Deaf children today, captions in movie theaters and sports arenas, interpreting access in many places, and so on. Advocacy IS tiring. Sometimes the most important thing we can do, however, is to keep showing up.
